very funny!
I love the NHL EA Sports games and their graphics, but the only thing that I miss in the newer ones is create a player. That is one aspect I think may hurt the game but other than that it is amazing.

2006 is supposed to have a wicked create a player , anyone now when its gonna come out. Why doesn't ea put in historical teams like madden has, can you imagine being the oilers of the 80's, Team Canada in 72, or any of the amazing Winnipeg Jets teams.
its a great game way better than nhl 2k6 they didn't even try on making it the graphics suck

it seems like they just put this game together quickly due to lock out....i say they could of did better....online they need to change the one-timers...basically only way to score not enless u got a star player and hes on breakaway then u do sig move....but still they should have worked more on this game.

The game has superb graphics it has superb play ability. After playing and try many different games I have to say this is one of teh best I have ever played.
I would say this game is the best looking for trailers and pics..due to that i never played this game or 2k6.it loooks great.9.3 otta ten...if the rosters were 100% accurate it would be better..but thats easy to change.no sidney crosby thats not good either...but u can create very well in the game so...the price is another pro aswell

The best sim ever for hockey. I have put together 15 all time great teams and am runnning a league with these teams, Ranger Bruins Islanders oilers penquins phlyers redwings blackhawks and on and on. Then have adjusted game played for a real 70's 80's gameplay. I love it. This game truly puts you in the game. Anyone interested in seeing my rosters should leave me a note hear . enough interest I will post them. Thanks Reidit

hey i love this game is just about the only game i play now for ps2 but the only thing i want to know how to do is, i always see people online using that skill-stick move the bat-in but i can't figure out how to do it. Its on the videos but i just dont know how. i can do the spin move and between the leg but.....so CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!?!?!?
The game looks great but goalies go down too soon exept on highest difficulty. Roster updates and salary cap inclusion would have been appreciated. Too many free agents and marginal players make roster management a pain (i.e. not much rrom to create new players and add to rosters - many teams have max. 40 players or close to it). I was interested in how created old time great teams was done. I have some roster info on 70's Montreal, Boston, Philly, and 80's Flames, Oilers, & Isles too.

Remember like in NHL 2004 (EA), you were able to download roster updates.
great game all around. i feel the soundtrack is lacking (too repetative) and i'd like to load my own music. If you've played nhl 2004 you'd also know that the comentary is lacking.
i got the updates and loaded them how ur told to but they dont turn up in the roster update screen in the game.

in NHL 2006, how do you "lock" in a player. For example, while I am playing the game, how do I stop controlling the player that has the puck all the time?
