Q: Tell us about squad members and their skills.

A: The player will control basic characters, which include: ranger, sniper, demolition expert, Korean and medic. Characters available change according to the mission and sometimes there could be an additional character, be it a pilot or CIA agent. Each character has its own unique skills and all of them share common skills.

Choosing a character for a particular is very important because, for example, the sniper will shoot an enemy soldier from a greater distance than the medic who has other skills.

Q: What role do vehicles play in Korea?

A: In general the player may control vehicles – from a tank to a boat. Currently there are about twenty various vehicles ready to use.

For instance, the soviet lorry ‘Zil’ will be in several different variations, for transporting fuel, soldiers, etc. There are some special moving/transport vehicles as well, for example a tram or a train.

The vehicle is under the player’s/soldier’s full control the moment he enters the vehicle, which may transport the whole commando squad.

All the vehicles have real physics and therefore their movements are really nice and smooth. If the vehicle hits a wall, it will become damaged and this may result in it not working!

Q: Tell us about how the games missions will play.

A: All members of the commando squad must stay alive otherwise the mission fails. Furthermore, there exist special characters during the game, which act as ´allied´ troops –i.e., a lost soldier from a foreign friendly unit. If the player decides, this character may be used in battle as well.

Of course, during play some of the characters may be killed but only those who are treated as temporary. If they stay alive, the player gets a higher ranking. Every mission is designed in order to make it possible to achieve essential objectives in several possible ways, which in turn expands the possibility to play the same missions many times!

Korea: Forgotten Conflict also has a unique enemy AI system, which enables the change of enemy behaviour depending on various factors such as weather conditions, explosions, etc.

This system is named advanced hierarchic AI. It means that chief commanders are able to plan actions and organize subordinates. It is not possible any more to hide around a corner and wait until the enemy calms down. Enemy soldiers will seek the best positions to attack or protect themselves or hunt for where the explosion came from - as in the real world.

Sounds a lot like Operation Flashpoint to me. But it looks like they have thought it out and put a few interesting twists in the gameplay though.

Sounds a lot like commandos too. Cross both OP Flash and Commandos and you get this. Unoriginal idea, on the other hand, too classic games merged
