If my memory serves me correctly, this is the third Vietnam to be announced for development, adding to Vivendi’s Men of Valour and Take 2’s Vietcong. It certainly looks like things could get quite competitive. Line of Sight: Vietnam is being developed by nFusion Interactive for the PC. And will be published by Infogrames. The game promises a more stealth-heavy approach than the other two Vietnam titles in development, and installs the player in Vietnam as one of the Green Beret’s sharp-shooters. Here’s some official bullet-points:

  • Take out targets under the cover of a dynamic and fully detailed 3-D environment, including changing weather, booby traps, and thick vegetation
  • Use over 10 different weapons, including ones dropped by enemy forces
  • Tackle multiple missions in the infamous A Shau Valley, or create custom operations with the mission editor feature.
  • Assume the role of a sniper alone or play cooperative games over LAN or the Internet
