David Reeves - PS3 will 'win'
Confidence at Sony
A confident David Reeves - president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe - has told UK business site GamesIndustry.biz that in nine months time PlayStation 3 will be the clear leader in the next-gen console wars.
"PlayStation 3, you will see, will be far and away the winner when you look at it by March '08. They really, really will," he stated. "It's something that is going to be a slow burner, and suddenly it's like a tsunami; it will just overtake you."
Speaking of Microsoft's confidence in the Xbox 360 heading into the Christmas season, the Sony boss stated "I honestly don't think that just having the games on Xbox 360 is enough." Reeves also highlighted similar noises from Microsoft last year, emphasising the fact that the predicted dominance failed to materialise.
"It is, but surprisingly, people are paying that amount of money for it. Now they'll get two games and an extra controller as well," he replied, when asked whether the 425 GBP / 599 Euro price-tage of the new 'Start Pack' PS3 was still expensive.
More soon.

Comments
If the 360 stopped selling this week the PS3 would need to sell 180k units a week every single week till March to level with it.
Anecdotaly, since the price cut, Sony are now selling 40k units a week in the US...
Tain't gonna happen Mr Sony man, tain't gonna happen.
