Voltage races onto PC, PS3 and Xbox 360
Look out WipEout...
A brand new Wipeout-esque futuristic racer has today been confirmed today by Lexicon Entertainment, Voltage also set to include a strategy elements when released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
The Czech Republic's IBA Group are creating the new racer, which will see players battling it out in races set across the solar system, in a bid to become the region's Best Racer. Competing in Voltage, racers will control anti-gravity vehicles capable of leaping to other levels of the multi-layered tracks, with courses set to include Teleports, Electromagnetic Platforms, Nuclear and Tachyon fuel power-ups and various shortcuts.
Courses will be set on Earth, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon and Europa, with environmental conditions promising to accurately depict realistic weather and landscapes for each world. Fifteen tracks and three game modes - including multiplayer - are on the cards.
The game is due out in autumn 2008.
