From the very start of World of Warcraft's ascent to domination on the platform, speculation has hinted that developer are plotting a version of the hit for consoles. The flames of gossip have been fanned over the years by Blizzard job ads hinting at console projects, though it seems any such release was canned last year when the developer revealed 'all' console had halted. We were then told that new console releases were being reviewed and plans would be revealed in the future.

Blizzard job ads earlier this year again seemed to hint at WoW moving to consoles, the developer detailing a "next-gen MMO," and while such news may have seen and gamers getting all anticipant again, it seems that Blizzard still aren't willing to commit to a console release of the world's number one MMO title.

"We're madly in love with the PC and platforms, and there are no plans at this time to bring to any other platforms," read a comment from Blizzard employee 'Drysc' on the official WoW forums.

We'll keep our noses to the ground for further clues from Blizzard, who must surely be planning something.
