Yesterday's of a new Starter Pack appears to have been genuine, but word has it that the revised pack is only intended for the French market at present.

Images hinted at a brand new pack for Europe, incorporating Heavenly Sword and Championship Edition instead of and Resistance. The pack would still include the two SIXAXIS controllers and of course the console.

"The choice of which titles to include in the Starter Pack, and the freedom to change the titles is up to the individual markets based on their unique market conditions," explained a statement on the matter from Sony.

"The F1 and Heavenly sword pack is only being introduced in France for the time being, and will be available from the launch of Heavenly Sword in France on 19th September."

Of course, this statement does include a caveat hinting that the pack could head elsewhere in the future, so we'll keep our eyes peeled.
