Frontlines to support 50 players online
Kaos reveals ambitious multiplayer mode
Kaos Studios' ever-looming new action title, Frontlines: Fuel of War, will apparently support over 50 players battling it out online, when the game launches on the PC and Xbox 360 later this month.
"We actually hit 73 during testing but we are taking baby steps as this is a pretty big leap," revealed one developer, chatting on the official forum.
Publisher THQ promise a flexible multiplayer experience in which players have a high degree of customisation, meaning that the player can adapt their character to any situation.
The Xbox Live demo already supports 32 players.
The premise of Frontlines sees players thrust into a conflict over the scant remaining oil resources in the near-future.
The game will be released on the Xbox and PC, although the PS3 version has now been axed. More soon.
