A new Guitar Hero-rival, designed for kids, has been revealed for the and the by Disney. The new game will arrive in the autumn.

The rhythm-action title is aimed at teenagers and younger kids, and the game will see you taking a rock band from nothing to the upper-echelons of the business. As with Guitar Hero, clearly an inspiration, you'll need to use the controller to replicate on-screen music.

No special controllers will be offered, instead you'll make use of the Wiimote and stylus to control the title.

Drumming, singing and guitar-playing will be covered.

"Ultimate Band invites kids, tweens and teens to join in the jam session," beamed Disney's Craig Relyea.

"And whether they choose guitar, drums, bass or front man, members don't need to buy costly, single-function peripherals to play their way through Ultimate Band's deep song list, dynamic venues, and customizable characters."
