GameCube 2 in 2005?
Rumours abound
Apparently, IGN Cube have received a number of rumours from various developers through the grapevine, speculating about the arrival of a sequel to the GameCube. It seems likely it would seem, that Nintendo's successor will arrive in Spring 2005, with several developers having apparently been told to expect something around this time.
Of course, the details of the console and its name are unofficial at the moment, though Spring 2005 does seem reasonable given Nintendo's desire to get their console out ahead or at least in-line with their major competitor's products.

My money is on them calling it something other than the GameCube 2
My money is on Nintendo falling behind Sony and Microsoft,again, in the next console war.
It's scheduled for release alongside the PS3 and X-Box 2. It's currently called the GC2 but that's only what the media is calling it.
Rumour has it that it's called Nintendo Revoltion (maybe Sony will have the Playstation Reloaded and X-Box will have to settle for Enter The X-Box....sorry for that) and is codenamed Project Dolphin 2 (Dolphin was the original name for the Gamecube).
But this is just speculation and rumours at the minute. Anyone remember the Ultra 64?
I think that Nintendo's decision of waiting to release a name, and information of their next machine is one of the best steps that they could take. If their system comes out last, their system will be the newest on the market. It would draw more attention because of the fact that it would be new. And if they do well with creating the machine all together, they would of made better buisness than any of the other system companies (Microsoft, & Sony)
i think that nintendo is doing a great job and if it gets through this right it can have the power too destroy sony and xbox nintendo has been around for a while and i think that the creaters of nintendo r not ready for all this new stuff now i dont no what sony and xbox do about there work but nintendo seems too b doing the most work and i thinkthat sony and the amasing xbox r not really doing any thing i mean i heard a while back that nintendo came up with the name playstation and sony took it sony just relaxes and lets its company do all the work well i can tell u that one day sony is going to make a mistake and relax too long and nintendo will hit it right at its weak spot and sony will quickly drop and will fall right were nintendo is right now but like i said at the top sony doesnt do that much for its system thats y nintendo will become the overall system and xbox will b right beside sony going down the dranso sony and xbox will fail

Does anyone know if there is going to be a super mario sunshine sequel on GC or are they gonna wait for GC2? if you have beaten mario sunshine you know that bowsers son mentiosn that he will get him next time. SO it makes me think there will be a followup. I like the sidecroller games a little better, why has ninetndo gotte naway from that?

the best things come to those who wait... it isn't about falling behind. it's about releasing a product that is a higher performer than the competition. everyone knows, including your dead grandmother, that the only reason sony outsells, is because of the countless games available for it, that you will NEVER play. QUALITY not QUANTITY.
Xbox 2 will beat PS3 and Gamecube 2 the Xbox 2 have much real picture and better hard drive and include the memory is maybe 1,000 MB.. As I hope sooo...
Im a nintendo fan, its been the only system ive ever owened (no not the only systems ive played, ive used them all). I dont want to say something stupid like NEXbox (next box) is better or Ps3 will be better. In my oppinion they each have thier own place, they each have pros and cons. I hope nintendo just is able to keep its nice multiplayer thing going. Heres a few ideas that would be awesome for G2: 6 controller ports, internet ready *come with a dial up connection, and allow people to buy a broad band version*, and internal memor, however sell memory cards that can be hooked up to usb chords on computers so u can download expansions to games. Oh i go tmore but sony or microsoft fans might steal them....grrrr

i think that gc2 should come out before xbox 2 and ps3 because more people would buy the first one that comes out. thats what happend with ps2.
For all of you living in Japan. The reason why you like Nintendo so much is because you get all the good Nintendo games. Coincidentally, most of the good Xbox games are sold only in the USA. Honestly, I have no idea why there is such a bias against US made games, they are just as good as Japanese games. Nintendo Gamecube is a great system, but it lacks sales. It is a didtant 3rd in the market right now and is showing no sign of gaining ground. Sony has the upper hand, but not from quality, but rather from quantity and a fan-base that can be more fanatical than realistic. Xbox by far represents the best overall system for your money. There are games that dont even compare to anything that Gamecube or PS2 has (Example being Spinter Cell, Rainbow Six 3 etc).
In the upcomming year, Nintendo really has to examine the market and make games that take advantage of the ever-changing marketplace. For example, make a wireless network adapter built in, for both a ethernet and a G-bit connection. GC2 really needs to be online and be able to provide the high quality of gameplay that you see on Xbox live right now.
I love Nintendo, but i am dissapointed with this current generation system.

We know that the codeman for the next machine will be called "N5" being Nintendo's 5th console. The machine is rumoured to play gamecube games.
Nintendo is going to wait for Playstation 3 and X-Box 2 to come out, see what they have and then come back with even better and more stuff then they have. Mr. Miyamota is working on Sunshine 2 and is planing on Zelda: The Adventure for Power. So far Z:AFP you will be able to use Link and Zelda, the graphics will be improves greatly and you will not always have to use your sword to fight. There's also plans that SSBM 2 is coming out with more then 30 characters, some even from Soul Calibur 2. So there is a lot to look forward to when the so called Gamecube 2 comes out

We are sorry that we have know real idea of what the GC2 will really look like some people like to take apart other systems and make one that looks cool but does not work just to fool people about what the GC2 will look like. We are thinking of making the GC2's color mainly green red and blue for the games that will be the first made. Mario (Full name unkown at the moment) red and blue and Zelda, green. I was told to tell you all about the upcoming Gameboy also but, since you all are only here for GC2 then i will not

There are no pictures of the Gamecube 2 yet and also we are coming out with Nintendo DS and portible system thats all for now.
By the way, N5 is coming out before any of the next consoles. It's proven very successful. That's why PS2 wasn't beat because it was out for a whole year. Now Nintendo has Capcom, SquareEnix, Namco, Sega, Konami, and etc..
The games on the next N5 will be coming out faster and selling like hot cakes. Nintendo has restablished with the developers now and N5 will be everything you need. By the time PS3 and Xbox2 come out, no one will really care except for computer gamers seeing how Xbox gets nothing but pc ports. It's been announced that N5 will play the existing GameCube games and will play movies. While PS2 and Xbox will play movies, be cd player, a jukebox, and even a toaster! Wow, that's great. You will have your first toaster console. Cool idea
Hey stupid, there is no way to put a toaster onto a game system because the heat would melt the chips inside the system and the radio waves it gives off would damage the lens. So what if X-Box 2 and PS3 come out before Gamecube 2 as you all like to call it, you see we are about to but about Square Enix and they are offering a whole huge line of ideas of how to make the system better the games better and best off all Fanal Fantasy better. You see we have came up with the idea of using real people in the FMV's and digitally reanimate them. Along with that were going to take the EYE-TOY idea and make it better as for more action games and first person shooter games. Also with are new portable system coming out There's no way PS can beat us. The N-gage sucked. I played bettter Atari games then all the games on that. So you should really think before you decide to go and act like someone you are not and try to mess with someone who is smarter then you are.

Hello Mr. Sony. Just to let you know, you can put a toaster in a Game system because the heat would melt the micro chips in the game and most toasters now have a light radio wave the would effect the game play. Just to let you know were stealing your eye toy idea to make it better for some action games and remeber the next Metal Gear thats coming out for game cube well were going to add extra and hidden missions thanks to Miyamoto just for gamecube also, were taking back the FF games on the so call Game cube 2 and remaking all of them into one game thats gonna be called Final Fantasy: The Hidden World which will have most of the main characters from older FF games and make the story line and spin off of FF:7. And also PS3 dont scare use because you may have violence but were bringing up the rateing of Zelda to were Link will talk and there will be cussing and everyone knows Zelda is way better then most anything then PS can come up with. We have been here longer than you have and when we come out with the better system you will all come crying to us on your knees.

I REALLY HOPE THEY CREATE ANOTHER GAMECUBE!!!!! i wouldn't care how much it would cost or it's name. I think that the second gamecube should have the following: at least 2 starfox and zelda games, players choice games from the PS2, X-box, and the original gamecube, and last but not least, ONLINE PLAY! So you could challenge anybody around the world. I know one thing, if they create a gamecube just like this, i would do anything to get it!!!!!
let me put it in another way, my friend has a PS2, i liked the game play. but in my opinion, the games are way to hard and complicated, and some of there graphics aren't the best, while gamecube games aren't as complicating and i think gamecube has some of the best graphics around. I rented a X-box for a month from my next door neighbor. He had some of the hottest games for the console. The graphics and online play is pretty damn cool, but they games where just confusing. I think the gamecube2 (N5) should be released before the PS3 and X-Box2. The zelda games should have graphics from soul calibur and be based towards kids and adults. Zelda products would sell a lot better if they had that. (Duh!) But that is my review of all the current systems and the soon to be systems. (hopefully)

do not make those kiddy games for the next system. That's how you lost most of the peple. Also make the games long, but not too long. Also make them challenging on the games like Zelda. And make the memory cards huge so you can have games like Grand theft auto. keep the original like mario, metroid, and star fox
