NCsoft are clearly looking to squeeze a few more bucks from their aging MMO, and have announced plans to start running in-game ads in the persistent world title.

A new deal with Double Fusion will see the agency providing the media, as well as the "technology and force to bring brands into the popular role-playing game which takes place in a modern urban setting, an ideal environment for unobtrusive in-game advertising."

As well as running in-game ads, Double Fusion's technology will be used to integrate player-created content into the game world; though quite what kind of content is covered remains something of a mystery.

Players will reportedly be given the option to opt-out of the ad scheme, though are promising to reinvest income from the ads into the of the game.
