Spielberg a fan of Crysis

Director is a gamer

Director Steven Spielberg is a firm fan of PC shooter Crysis, according to Boom Blox producer Amir Rahimi.

Rahimi told GI.biz: "I was actually pretty surprised to find out how much of a gamer Steven Spielberg is. He - regularly, when we meet with him - makes references to games that a lot of us game developers haven't played or haven't played in years. But also recent games, like Crysis, he talks a lot about."

Boom Blox has of course been developed alongside Spielberg, and will be released on May 9th.

"He came up with the original concept, but he also - when he wasn't off shooting Indiana Jones or doing other big projects out of town - I'd say he was in the office on average every week," added Rahimi on the level of the director's involvement.

Two other games are being made alongside the movie maker, one of which is a story-driven action adventure title code-named LMNO. More soon.
