Tony Hawk's pushed into 2010
"Breakthrough" required
Speaking with investors after the unveiling of the publisher's financial results, Activision revealed that the next Tony Hawk's game won't be released until the company's 2010 financial year (which ends in March 2010), the firm promising a "breakthrough" for the series.
It is is believed Activision have taken the skateboarding series back to the drawing board after EA's rival SKATE offering won over critics and players alike.
While no triple-A console Hawk's game is likely until later next year, Acti publishing chief Mike Griffith did say a new game would be released on the DS.
"For competitive reasons, we’re not going to talk about it today, but we’re very bullish on the kind of innovation this will bring," the CEO enthused. "And this won’t be your father’s Tony Hawk."
