Experiencing a shortage of storage space on your Wii? If so then you'll be pleased to hear you're not alone and are "working to find a solution".

In an interview with Multiplayer, Nintendo of America boss said "We have a consumer base who loves Virtual Console. We have a user-base who really is enjoying content. So for us really our challenge really is how do we satisfy all these consumers who are loving all of the product we make available on a download basis?"

Fils-Aime also acknowledged that the steady stream of new content was "just making this challenge tougher and tougher".

"So in our view this is becoming much more of a mainstream problem, which is why we have a sense of urgency to solve it."

With only 512MG of internal space the was always going to be prone to storage space problems. Support for 2GB SD cards eases the issue slightly but transferring data around all the time is a hassle and calls for Nintendo to release some kind of external hard drive have been growing steadily since the consoles launch.
