Out of Steam?
Not even tepid
As reported yesterday the release version of Valve's broadband gaming platform, Steam, is expected today after being delayed for 24 hours. However, the reality is a '404 File Not Found' page propped up against the front of steampowered.com and a client program that promises 'Updating Steam...' before biting the dust.
Still... they do have a bit of time left if they are on the west coast.

Ok - things have started to get better. I've got it installed, and my account setup. Now CS is just taking an age to start.
Thier website is back as well :)

I finally got into a game of CS - not without a shedload of winsock and 'Can't find content server' errors though.
It took all damned night to get the thing installed
Yeah, I got CS working, just waiting to get into a server for the first time it takes ages.

I thought it would be like the beta if I waited it'd eventually sort itself out, but it's still not so I say... Boll... :)
Downloading CS as a zip, screw steam, it wants to install all kidsa crap and takes an age to do anything.
Yeah, I just finished downloading the CS/Steam Cache thingy, so I'll get back in a few minutes (or hours if it works :) ) Tell you how it is :D
