Valve neglecting Team Fortress 2 PS3?
No port for you, PS3ers
The free content upgrade already added to the PC release of Team Fortress 2 won't be heading to the PS3's Orange Box release, developer Valve have confirmed. Apparently, the game maker simply doesn't have any PlayStation developers in-house, although the update will be added to the Xbox 360 in the future.
Publisher Electronic Arts handled the PS3 conversion of The Orange Box in house, and the quality of the port was heavily questioned at the time of release; Valve now suggesting that EA won't undertake the release of this additional content.
"They’re not doing ongoing development on The Orange Box for the PS3," Valve marketing boss Doug Lombardi told 1UP.com, having also revealed Valve's lack of PS3 expertise.
So... it looks unlikely that future game releases from the firm will land on Sony's format.
