Spore passes one-million in sales
First milestone for Wright's opus
EA may be under-fire over the DRM included in new Sims title Spore, while the game itself is widely available on torrent websites, but that hasn't stopped the new title racing past the one-million sales mark.
The one-million figure includes PC, Mac and DS sales, and of course we're expecting it to now go on to sell a lot more given that the title only arrived a matter of weeks ago.
"Spore is a hit," beamed EA Games boss man Frank Gibeau.
"Will Wright’s latest delivers an incredibly diverse game that appeals to casual gamers and the core alike. We’re off to a great start moving into the holiday season and believe Spore will deliver a platform of creativity for gamers of all stripes for years to come."
