Feel the drums in the deep...

The Big N have this morning confirmed that Shigeru Miyamoto's new family-friendly opus, Wii Music, will arrive on the 14th of November.

Animal Crossing is perhaps Ninty's most significant other festive release, alongside this musical offering, which will simulate dozens of instrument types via relevant Wiimote gestures.

You won't actually play specific notes, rather, the game will clever translate the enthusiasm of your movements into in-game 'playing'. It could be brilliant, or could be ridiculous, but given Miyamoto's involvement we won't be casting aspersions just yet.
