LittleBigPlanet servers return to life
New patch fixes unspecified issues
The servers supporting the online side of Media Molecule and Sony's PS3-promoting LittleBigPlanet are apparently now back online, after a couple of days downtime.
The servers returned after the game's makers released patch 1.03 for the game, which clearly helped fix the problems Media Molecule experienced.
The game is now beginning to make its way back to stores across the globe - Sony having taken the decision to pull the game following the emergence of expressions from the Qur'an, in one of the title's licensed music tracks.
Elsewhere, Sony's UK boss Ray Maguire has said that the delayed release is all about "respect".
"We weren’t to know that a product that’s been in the marketplace since 2006 by a Grammy award-winning artist would have this kind of effect," he told Videogamer.com.
"But I don’t want to see anyone upset by something that we’ve done and we have to put it right so we did put it right. I think it was the right move."
