With the Games Show now winding down in Japan, a veritable selection of new titles have emerged. My personal favourite has to be the officially licensed game-based sequel to Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, which is being created for the and is slated for a Halloween release in 2004. Many of the favourite characters from the film will return in gloriously-animated detail in what promises to be a third-person adventure game.

Jiraiya: The Magical Ninjya was also confirmed by Capcom, and looks like being a stylish game in which our young hero can utilise all manner of martial-arts moves, as well as summoning beasts in a Pokemon-style to assist his fight. Apparently, said beasts can be had by defeating stages bosses. Jiraiya will be out on the PS2 next year, we're told.

Capping-off Capcom's newbies (don't you just love alliteration?), we've got two new Megaman titles, the first being an RPG, which is odd, and titled Rockman X Command Mission. The other new addition is new versions of the Battle Network series which will arrive in Red Sun and Blue Moon flavours this December in Japan, and that, as they say, is that.
