A new collection of classic novels will be bundled together by and released on Boxing Day, as we today learn about the new 100 Classic Book Collection for the Big N's handheld.

The new release is a partnership with book publisher Harper Collins, and costs 19.99 GBP. The novels will be offered alongside plays, although it looks like all the works covered are out of copyright.

You'll hold the like a book during use, apparently, and flick through the pages using the stylus. Further classics will be added via the WiFi Connection we're told.

Shakespeare, Dickens, Hardy, Austen and more are included, not to mention Jules Verne, Conan Doyle, Twain and Edgar Allen Poe as well. Quite a selection, all in all. Time to cheat and get the low-down on those pesky sub-texts from Spark Notes. Again.
