Gran Turismo 5 out Christmas 2009?

Sony man sparks dating conjecture

Speaking with Spanish site El Financiero and reported by blog Kotaku, Sony Europe's James Armstrong has revealed that he expects to see Gran Turismo 5 released in Christmas 2009.

Sony haven't commented any further on this revelation, so presumably this isn't official word on the subject, Sony US having previously suggested that that game might be with us early to mid 2009.

Developer Polyphony have previously stated that work is progressing well on Gran Turismo for the PSP, although presumably the full next-gen version remains the priority, given that it remains - according to Armstrong - a year away.
