Earlier this year we heard word from that they had opted to divide II into three games, allowing the designers of the new sequel the chance to really go town on individual campaigns for the game's three vying powers.

Chatting with US site 1UP.com, lead designer Dustin Browder has revealed that the focus for Blizzard remains firmly on the initial Terran campaign, which will be the focus of the first StarCraft II game. In fact, only the Terrans will be playable in campaign mode - with over 24 missions planned.

Apparently, the Terran missions are now at a fully playable stage, while the Protoss and Zerg campaigns are unplayable, and remain a long way off.

"We've put by far, the most amount of work into the Terrans," Browder offers. "The other two campaigns are still in planning and concepting, which is where they'll stay until we're done with the core game."

We hope you like Terrans...
