First the good news: Rare's entertaining exclusive Grabbed by the Ghoulies (which MS Word desperately wants to amend to "Grabbed by the Goalies", amusingly) is gold! The game is expected out in the US on October 21st and later in on November 14th.

The game looks very well made, and more than a little quirky - though probably won't be justifying the $375 million price-tag on it's own. Worth a look, none the less. Also gold this week is EA's tie-in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, which is complete across every conceivable format and expected in stores on November 14th.

Penultimately, despite the newly launched Deus Ex: The Invisible War website touting December 3rd for the sequel's release, it turns out this applies to the North American shipment only - with the European version still expected in February 2004 according to Eidos. The official site can be viewed here, regardless.

Continuing the theme of disappointing slippage, it has come to light this morning that the long-awaited ports of to the and Xbox have slipped from the festive season to January 2004. Which is a shame. The extra months will enable Illusion Softworks' to beat some memory management issues, according to Eurogamer.net, but many will still be disillusioned (geddit?) by this delay.
