PS3 users will be happy this morning, giving them a small carrot to dangle in the faces of their playing counterparts; word reaching us this weekend revealing that the Titan Pack for Unreal Tournament 3 won't make it to the 360.

Epic, always conscious of their community, have sent along a rather sizable explanation for the pack's omission, and it'll no doubt bring a broad grin to the face of owners.

"The file size limitations prevent us from releasing it, not to mention we have things like split-screen support (which 360 already has), maps that are already in the 360 version, the integrated mod browser (which 360 doesn’t support)… the list goes on," Epic explain.

"Obviously, we are big supporters of Xbox 360 (Gears, anyone?) but there are significant hurdles keeping us from shipping the Titan Pack for Microsoft’s platform."

More on the Titan pack soon.
