Xbox 360 passes one million in Japan
Milestone surpassed, at last
The Xbox 360 has finally passed the one million console milestone in Japan, according news from Microsoft this afternoon. It took quite a while, didn't it?
Japanese publication Famitsu says that lifetime Japanese sales officially passed the one million mark this week, the console having gone on sale back in winter 2005.
By comparison, the PS3 has managed sales in excess of three million since launch, the Wii presumably having long since surpassed the fifty-squillion mark, although the magazine don't have any official figures for that.
More on the Xbox 360's somewhat damp Japanese performance as we get it.
