New Leisure Suit Larry billed a "disaster"
Creator unhappy with new adventure
The man behind the Leisure Suit Larry series has said that the new version of the long running IP is a "disaster".
The latest version of Leisure Suit Larry is called Box Office Bust, but Al Lowe, the mastermind behind Larry, has said he wasn't consulted on the new game - and is apparently happy he wasn't involved.
Reviews for the game have been almost universally poor, Lowe noting that he is happy to have never received a review copy.
"All I know about it is what I've read online. VU (and later Activision, Team17 and Codemasters) did not consult me nor discuss anything about this game with me. In fact, they've expressed no interest in me whatsoever," he rails.
"For a while, I hoped that they would remember to send me a review copy. Now that the reviews are in, it's just as well that they didn't! Thank you, VU Games, for keeping me completely away from this latest disaster!"
