Gizmondo movie plans sighted
Producer considers film telling the handheld's tale
Producer Beau Flyn has taken out the option on a 2006 Wired article charting the sordid tale of the ill-fated Gizmondo handheld, the producer considering making a movie about the handheld console's bizarre story.
Bo Stefan Eriksson, one of Gizmondo's directors and a larger than life personality, is likely to be the focus of the flick. He famously crashed a Ferrari Enzo in Malibu, and has been in prison in both the US and Sweden on charges including kidnap and embezzlement.
Gizmondo burnt through 300 million USD in investment, and once owned a store on London's expensive Oxford Street, before the money ran out.
Of course, this film is only an 'option' at present - but maybe it wouldn't make such a bad flick after all? Thanks Hollywood Reporter.
