360 version of LoTR Online spied once again
New survey teases over business model
A new survey spotted online once again hints that Turbine could be hard at work on an Xbox 360 version of Lord of the Rings Online, rumour suggesting that the developer could have been working on the game for some time.
The new online title was once said to be a micro-transaction funded, free-to-play version of the popular Tolkien-themed MMO; but the new survey in question asks players whether they would be happy to pay 12.99 USD a month for the title.
That subscription fee would of course come on top of the initial outlay for the game itself. A free-play business model is also speculated in the survey, Turbine clearly having not decided what route to pursue yet.
Various downloadable items were mooted as possible micro-transaction focusses, although neither the developer, nor Warner Bros, have yet to comment on the MMO's existence.
More on this soon we hope. Thanks GameDaily.
