Lionhead introduce us to Milo
Virtual character utilises Project Natal
Lionhead have been busy with the Xbox 360's new Natal technology, Peter Molyneux introducing us to Milo. A young boy we can talk to and interact with.
During a visual detailed technology demonstration, we talk to Milo about his life, share drawings with him, and enter his world - using motion control and voice.
Milo's facial expressions react to the user's tone of voice and conversation a feature that Molyneux believes that humans will be able to confide in.
The most impressive part of the demonstration came when the user demonstrating drew a simple fish on a piece of paper, then motioned to hand it to Milo. The character then 'took' the piece of paper, said that it was a fish and showed it back to the audience from the screen.
Audible gasps from the cynical industry audience showed how persuasive this was. We'll be looking to have a chat with Milo during the show.
