PSP development costs lowered

Sony's PSP offensive opened another front with the announcement that they would be cutting dev unit costs by 80%.

The cryptic sounding DTP-T2000A and DTP-T2000 now cost 1500USD, and the DTP-H2500A and DTPH2500 models cost 1000USD.

"By offering PSP Development Tools at a very attractive price, SCE will provide a more affordable game development environment for a broader range of developers and publishers" said the company.

The lower cost signals Sony attempting to get more more developers involved in democratising the process of getting a finished game out the door.
