Taylor promises improved SC for consoles
Sequel will be a big step forward, says boss
Supreme Commander 2 on the PC was looking fabulous when we saw it at E3 last week. Now, Gas Powered Games boss Chris Taylor has been assuring that the console version will also be a step in the right direction.
While the original PC version of the first Supreme Commander was hugely popular, the console port was derided, especially when it came to the controls. Taylor says that far more resources will be lavished this time around.
"We're doing it [the port] in-house and giving it a lot more time and a lot more resources," Joystiq were told.
"I would be very surprised if it didnt do as well as the PC version."
He continued, admitting sympathy for the firm behind the first port - who simply weren't given the resources to pull off the project. It was a "hair on fire mission" according to Taylor.
