3D goggles Metal Gear set for Arcades
Konami lift lid on new cabinet
We don't normally cover Arcade machines and their various games, but the latest issue of Famitsu magazine delivers some interesting details on the new Arcade system - likely to prove a hit with fans.
Metal Gear Arcade is being created in-house at Konami, and it will include 5.1 surround sound, 3D goggle support, separate movement and view controls, as well as 16 player tussles.
The ability for players to craft their own in-game avatars is also likely to prove popular with custom-designed characters playable in both the singleplayer mode and in co-op play.
This is likely to be a big hit in the Arcade's of Akihabara, and it will hit Japan before the year is out.
