Kim assures over 360 gaming status
Games still the focus
Speaking in the wake of major E3 news, which included the unveiling of of a broader Netflix service, Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm, as well as the announcement of Natal - a motion-based control system - Microsoft Game Studios boss Shane Kim has moved to offer assurances over the Xbox 360's gaming purpose.
"It happens to be a great video game console. That's not going away. We want to make people understand that we're not leaving the gaming space," Kim enthused.
"I definitely think that we can expand off that base, and that gaming is still going to be an important part of entertainment."
