Cult game hero Lara Croft was conceived in the British midlands town of Derby, and now the local council are considering naming a new ring road after the heroine, the brainchild of local developer Core Design.

The new road might also be called Florence Nightingale Way, if Lara Croft Way falls by the wayside.

"Personally I would be in favour of something that projects something new and modern about the city," John Forkin, director of Marketing Derby, told ThisIsDerby.

"I quite like the Lara Croft idea," he added.

What do you make of this idea, games players?
