US game maker Atomic, who recently saw funding on their Six Days in Fallujah title pulled by publisher Konami, following of the game's war-themed content, could be facing in the coming weeks.

According to IndustryGamers.com, only about a dozen staffers are left at the firm's North Carolina HQ.

Dozens of developers were let go after executives failed to find fresh funding or a new publisher for Six Days in Fallujah - leaving the firm's position looking bleak.

"The remaining team is basically a skeleton cleanup crew that will be gone soon too," the website were told by an unnamed source, who add that thw developer is sadly "pretty much dead". More soon.

    Konami screwed Atomic. They are have a reputation for doing this. It works in Japan but NOT here in the US
