Just Cause, and its frenetic looking sequel, are more than a little cinematic already - in a summer blockbuster, OTT sort of way. It is little surprise then to learn that Avalanche's opus could indeed be set for the move to the big screen.
Producer Adrian Askarieh believes the action IP is ripe for transition to the silver screen, and has duly acquired the rights to make a film of the game.
"Hitman was a very successful movie for Fox, and I wanted to find a similar project in terms of its genre, international appeal and ability to do for a price, but do it independently in order to maximize the creative and financial upside that a project like this could generate," Askarieh told Variety.
The producer has already played a role in bringing Hitman and Kane and Lynch to the big screen. More as we get it.
