Xbox 360 Arcade price increased in the UK

ShopTo and several other prominent UK retailers have this week actually increased the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade SKU, despite rumours that model pricing could be about to change.
According to Eurogamer.net, the price of the Arcade pack is rising in the UK from 129.99 to 159.99 GBP.
Accessories for the console are also expected to rise a little, while rumour has it that Microsoft could use GamesCom this week to confirm that the Premium bundle is being axed entirely, while the Elite system gets a price drop.
Could this price rise once again be linked to the falling value of the Pound, as it was with the Wii's slight price rise earlier this year? Or is a more complicated re-jigging of models and prices afoot at Microsoft? We'll find out later this week. Perhaps.
