Over 200,000 sign StarCraft II LAN petition
Blizzard urged to reintroduce feature
LAN play may be dead but the multiplayer mode of yesteryear is certainly not without its fans still, VG247 today noting that well over 200,000 players have now signed a petition about the (lack of the) feature in StarCraft II.
Blizzard have of course opted against LAN play in their long-awaited RTS sequel, but the community aren't taking this move lying down, and have duly organised a hefty petition.
213,000 people have now signed it since June, and Blizzard are clearly going to have to take some notice of this, given the sheer weight of numbers involved.
The game maker had been hoping to channel all multiplayer action through there new Battle.net online service. More soon.
