Game X Copy causes Industry stir

A spot of news on GameSpy.com today is sure to set lawyers' hands a-rubbing with glee, as a new product, due within a month came to light from developer 321 Studios. Games X Copy, like its equally controversial fore-father, DVD X copy, allows people to easily make 'back-ups' of CD and DVD games, or copy entire games to their hard disk. Naturally, the games industry, so hot on matters of piracy, are not likely to be too pleased with this new piece of software - though the makers claim it is for legitimate back-up.
"You no longer need to fear losing your expensive PC game collection to scratches, skipping, or freezing," commented 321 President Robert Moore. "Now you can simply back them up and put the expensive original in a safe place, and the backup will play on your PC just like the original."
The software can also copy console games, though apparently this process is somewhat tougher - and console owners will require 'modded' hardware to play 'back-ups'. Expect legal action to follow shortly.

I already have DVD X-COPY Express. What do I have to have to record a Playstation 2 game? What software do I need?
So what nothing new Alcohol 120% allows you to do this already and every game I've tried works and you don't even need to copy it onto a cd you can just as well make an image and use a virtual drive to play it from your HD

I personally feel that it make it easy for me, because currently my kids always leave there disc at the hotels we stay at and its hard on me keep buying the same disc over and over. Yes many may say that I should teach my kids how to take better care of there games. We are on vacation and I feel that I punish my kids enough at home. So its a good thing for people like myself that I can make a copy and leave the original at home.

It is right now on the mod budy. I bought this incredible software and I am testing it right now, I am pretty sure that is going to work like a charm. You can choose only download and not have to be waiting and put it on your hands for start doing what you supose to.
Will it be able to back-up XBOX games as well? I already have DVD X Copy Xpress and would like to get the game copy.

I think that what your company has done is great! You give us the fredome to do legaly what we deserve to do with what we own! Personaly I have lost about a half dozen dvd's over the years to wear and tear! I love your products and I use them with respect to the industry!

will it backup xbox original discs?
you cant copy xbox games because microsoft made two layers and only the xbox drive can read the secound layer so it is imposible to copy it unless you have a mod chip that puts it on your HD
