Netflix in testing for Wii?
Wii HD also due next year, says analyst
Juicy rumour abound this morning that the Netlfix movies on-demand service, already set for a slightly 'hacked' release on the PS3 next month, could be in testing for the Wii as well.
According to analyst Dan Rayburn (thanks Business Insider) a source has informed him that Netflix are working on the project, with testing said to be underway alongside Nintendo.
"What I'm hearing is that Nintendo originally planned to bring the Netflix service to the Wii before the end of this year," reveals the big cheese, "which still might take place, but that Nintendo is also considering holding off on the Netflix service until they release their next generation Wii HD unit in early 2010."
Next-gen Wii in 2010 you say? Cripes.
