Piles of gold or not, will wave the series farewell if it "stops being fun", that's the word from boss Robert Bowling.

At that point, the celebrated deliver could opt to craft something new, according to the exec.

"Once this is done, maybe we'll see about doing something new. If we do want to do something else, then we will do it. We don't feel tied to making Call of Duty games," Bowling told Develop.

"We still make Call of Duty games because were having fun doing it. And when it stops being fun, we'll move onto something else."

'stops being fun??!?!?' it probably will stop being fun seeing as you now have a maximum of only 18 players, no console, no mod community, no dedicated servers which = NO FUN - way to kill a franchise I.W
