Has your fitness plan been revolving around the Fit? If so, you may want to consider a gym membership.

The American Council on Exercise has released a report, based on the research of the University of Wisconsin, which decries the effectiveness of the as having "underwhelming results."

Apparently the most strenuous of Wii Fit's exercises, including super hula hoop and free island run, burn only about 100 to 160 calories every thirty minutes, as reported by Kotaku. This also means that Wii Fit could not even compare to an equivalent amount of time spent playing Wii Sports, which happens to be more entertaining.

Stop back in for more info as it breaks.

    So,

What about if you spent 30 minutes doing only the strength ones as well?

or do they only care about cardio now.

this is rubbish, a half hour on strength exercises achieves a lot more than a half hour on jogging AND hoola hoop.
I am genuinly sweating hard after a session and have lost 2 stone since starting earlier this year. I do not do any other exercise apart from my day job packing boxes.
on the other hand, we play wii sports for an hour or 3 a week and dont even loose breath.

This report is not valid as it has only been tested on the weeker modes of play.
