The director of Bayonetta studio, said that, despite shying away from more mature titles, that they would be interested in revisiting their gore-soaked title, MadWorld.

MadWorld, whilst being well received by critics, sold very poorly at shifting only 66,000 copies as of March of last year according to figures.

This has not discouraged Platinum's director Shigenori Nisikawa from touting the possibility of a sequel.

Speaking to the UK's Official Magazine he said: "I think MadWorld was very well received and was acknowledged for its innovative graphical style and gameplay. We would definitely be interested in making a sequel in the future."

He also had nothing but good things to say about the Wii itself, describing it as "a very well-balanced piece of and stating that it is more than capable of handling mature content.
