EA shut down more servers

EA trimming down multiplayer servers to the bone

EA have announced a further list of servers that they will be shutting down over the course of March and April.

March 16th will see the closure of PS3 and Xbox 360 servers for Def Jam, Godfather, the Simpsons and Lord of the Rings: Conquest which also loses multiplayer functionality on PC.

Mercenaries 2 will also lose PC multiplayer servers and both Need for Speed: Carbon and ProStreet on PSP as well.

April 15th will see the closure of servers for Battlefield 2, Madden 09 and Burnout 3 on the original Xbox with Burnout 3 PS2 servers also closing. EA will also stop the Asian servers for Army of Two on the PS3.
