Bucking a long-standing trend for to distribute and publish their PAL wares, Japanese super-developer SquareEnix have today revealed a publishing deal with Take Two Interactive, which will see the burgeoning publisher market and sell their new Drakengard on the PS2, throughout PAL regions, this year.

SquareEnix have clearly created this new RPG series in the hopes that it can reach the heights attained by their / Dragon Warriors' games - the same team being behind this development. The new publisher billed the title as a chaotic world of dragon pacts and warfare, Drakengard weaving unique RPG elements into a tragic saga that seeks to immerse the player in an all-new gameplay experience combining reality and interactivity.

"We commend for their fresh and innovative approach to RPG with Drakengard and are optimistic about the opportunity to distribute, market, and support this game," commented Take Two's European President Gary Lewis.
