GameSpot today report word from the US on a new deal between the world's largest games publisher EA, and Dungeon Siege developer Gas Power Games, with the former publishing the latter's in-development real-time game in 2006.

There's no specific mention of the game involved, other than that it is currently on-course for a 2006 launch, however recent rumours have linked Gas Powered top-dog with a Total Annihilation sequel, though we presumed the rights to this game to be in Atari's (Infogrames) hands.

"This is a huge opportunity for our company; to be working with the most successful and proven publisher of games in the world," commented Taylor. "We worked hard to find a publisher that shared our vision for this new title, and it's really no surprise that we partnered with EA. It was the unanimously smart decision for us, and we couldn't be happier about it."

Hopefully, we'll have some confirmation on this project soon.
