Lionhead artist Mark Healey, currently working away on at the British developer, has unveiled a wee side project today that he's been working on in his spare-time. Rag Doll Kung Fu is apparently a fighting game based around an innovative mouse-based control system, which is said to offer kung fu fights between string-puppets, sans strings.

The game currently supports up-to eight players, and is based on a system whereby characters have no pre-scripted animations, and instead require your mouse movements to control every single move. This will enable players to create their own unique fighting style, we're reliably informed.

"If all goes well, and I get the stuff working properly, then you can act out various silly situations with people all over the world, have dancing competitions, chatting, fighting, that kind of thing," commented Mr Healey. "I already have working on a single machine - you can plug in up to eight mice with a USB hub, and simulate all types of strange behaviour." All of which sounds rather refreshing.

Rag Doll King Fu should debut online later this summer. More as we get it.

Well now this does look fun, the style of the game looks intriguing too - all most Monty Python-esque. I wonder if they'll charge for downloads of it...
