LucasArts have today revealed the first early details of the forthcoming Star Wars: Galaxies expansion pack, currently being developed in collaboration with Online. Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed is the first addition to their role-playing epic set in a persistent Star Wars universe, and is set for a release on the this Autumn.

Top of the 'included' list for this expansion has to be the fifteen new vehicles that will be added to the game experience with its arrival, and starships and starfighters will be included both for combat, transport and exploration. X-Wings and TIE Fighters will of course be the mode of choice, and players will be able to ally themselves for battle against other factions or AI controlled craft. Mass transport vehicles will be added in the form of Millennium Flacon-like craft too.

Ten new areas of space will be opened by this expansion, spanning from the inner-core to the outer-rim, and 100 new missions will become playable. Two new species will also be added in Lightspeed.
