SquareEnix can usually be relied upon to give us something juicy to get our teeth into - and this year's E3 would appear to continue this trend with CEO Jun Iwasaki promising "some new and interesting directions" as part of the firm's expo line-up.

Most prominent will of course be the newly confirmed XII for the PS2, as well as 2, whilst the Final Fantasy XI add-on Chains of Promathia should also be worth a gander. debutants Star Ocean, Broken Angel and Front Mission 4 will also feature.

There'll be something to whet the appetite of even the most hardcore FF gamer at the show too, in the shape of clips from the forthcoming FFVII DVD sequel, 'Advent Children', a 66 minute CG extravaganza which ties up the lose-ends left over by the game.

Finally, SquareEnix will also demonstrate the forthcoming Kingdom Hearts GBA game, and even shed a little light upon its recently mooted raft of mobile games. More from E3, then.
